No Babies today!!

Well I was convinced that we would have at least one new arrival today, have a look at Pip's rear end, looks like its going to explode!!

Well I got prepared, got the birthing box all ready, and waited, and waited and waited!!!

But no one arrived! she just got back up and walked away with the rest of the herd (and the big bump had disappeared!! So I have been sat looking out the window all day, and going out every half hour to check on things, but still no baby. And she doesnt even look like she is in labour or at all uncomfortable.

Have just been back out to check her and she seems fine, so looks like no baby today, so fingers crossed it is tomorrow as I don't think that back end will take much more stretching without giving way!!

Such a shame as it has been a perfect day to be born, lovely sunny and warm. But I bet she will now give birth in the rain as that's what we are expecting tomorrow!!

Oh well they wont come until they are fully cooked.

It's funny, last year we had a girl who showed a swollen rear like that for three days before birthing, yet today Minnie birthed with only the slightest swelling noticeable since yesterday. I guess it all depends on the 'build' of the mother and the size of the cria - good luck for 'tomorrow'

I know its strange, we have a couple that do have swollen back ends before giving birth. But we don't normally see any indication from Pip, she generally just drops without you even noticing.

She is generally two weeks early, but has gone past this stage. Last year I popped to the shops, was only half hour, came back to her baby on the ground!

She is not a big girl and generally has little babies, just hoping this one is not going to be too big!!

She just wants to keep you on your toes and make sure you're there at her big moment...no nipping out to the shops for a day or two!!

Yes no popping to the shops!! have to wait until hubby is home. Have still loads to do before the big open day on Sunday. Would really like a couple of babies for the visitors to see, the two born in March are huge now and don't really look like babies!

I just rather they didn't wait until Sunday tho!!
